Finally, extra deep pocket sheets that really do fit our 24" mattress with a very generous fit.

The fitted sheet has elastic all around, which makes for a very secure fit, too. The elastic is not flimsy, as it was in the much more expensive set these sheets replaced. There is also an extra seam right above the elastic, which appears to enhance the fit. It's unusual to see so much workmanship being put into a fitted sheet.

Good that there are 4 pillow cases, rather than the 2 that come with many sets.

Am giving only 4 stars, since these 500 TC sheets feel more like sturdy percale sheets than soft sateen sheets. The sheets do have a nice sateen sheen, but I think this must be due to some sort of finish applied to the fabric, rather than to an inherently soft sateen weave. The much more expensive, 450 TC sateen sheets these replaced were much softer, although I would not call these sheets uncomfortable at all. Still, they will probably disappoint people who want ultra-soft sheets.

The weave seems very sturdy, and I expect that they will hold up well in our agitator-less washing machine, which sometimes is a little rough on clothes. After 2 washings so far, the sheets are still in great shape.
