i had my porch enclosed last year & decided it was time to retire the old white plastic chaise to the back yard. haven't had $$ left after completion of the project to refurnish it. the price of this item is very affordable. i wanted to replace the old chaise with something that was more compact yet could be used for relaxing & sleeping on the porch in the nice weather. this chair is a good size & frees up space when folded into a chair. i have a mattress that i put on it that makes it comfortable to lie on. it wasn't too difficult to put together but i didn't feel like assembling it all in one sitting so i did it off & in one afternoon. i ran into a few kinks that i was able to correct. there is a small crack in one of the slats but i reinforced it & am not too concerned about it. i may decide to use wood stain on it when i finish staining the front stairs, but it looks fine with the natural wood for now. overall i'm pleased with this purchase. i like the reclining options - easy to change it from chair, recliner, to bed & back. it's comfortable & folds up to fit nicely in the corner of my 250 sq. ft. enclosed porch.
