Sonoma Hardwood Drafting Table System Review

This item, though well priced has several flaws which can not be overcome. First, if you're using it as a drafting table as I was planning to, you can't. The top and side edges are rounded, making the use of a T-square impossible. Second, there is decorative trim on the bottom of the top, making the use of a swing arm or clip on lamp impossible.

There are several inaccuracies in the directions, one of which (page 8) specifies the use of Allen bolts to make an attachment. Not correct. The part number listed is actually a Phillips screw which is the correct part. Page 9 of the instructions refers to the steel legs, but fails to specify either in written form or by picture if the indented screw holes are to face inward or outward, and both are possible. If you buy this item, face the indented sides toward the outside to allow the Allen bolts to fall flush to the metal and thus be concealed upon completion.

If you're a freehand artist who does not need lighting attached to your table, this is a great item, but if you're a mechanical artist, it won't work.

I tried a real one twice and then gave up. Up close this looks a little too good to be true... But in my long connecting room it looks nice ... And it doesn't die. Note: I am not a fan of artificial plants, I always prefer real, but if you are looking for a topiary and you are not right on top of it, this works nice.
