The Emile Henry dinner plates are truly a wonderful product! They are beautiful ,generously sized, and easy to handle. Everything they advertise that they do is true. The high fire glaze is very tough. It withstands knife cutting with no damage to the plate surface or scarring. I spent months looking for dinner plates that would withstand knife cutting ie. chicken breasts without the usual grey marks or scarring to the ceramic finish. The Emile Henry plates deliver what they promise.......you can cut on them with a knife without damaging the plate. I know they are expensive but their beauty and functionality make the expense worthwhile. I highly recommend this product!
