Echelon Egyptian Percale is made with Egyptian cotton in a 200 thread count. Percale is a classic plain weave (one thread woven up for every one woven under). It is a fabulous weave that is lightweight, crisp, durable and resists pilling. This is the same type of fabric used in all of the very popular "hotel" bedding lines.

When I went to use these sheets I first checked the fitted sheet against my queen-size mattress to make sure the corner pockets weren't too deep. I've had that problem with previous fitted sheets. Once I knew that the pocket was the right size I laundered the full set. Unfortunately, I didn't check for the rest of the fit. Once laundered I put the sheets on my bed and both the fitted and the flat sheet are a good 3 - 4" wider than standard size. The fitted sheet is so much too wide that I really can't use it. I can tuck all the excess under the mattress but one night's sleep and it all comes loose resulting in a very sloppy fit and uncomfortable sleep. The flat sheet hangs out from under the duvet by at least 3". And finally, the pillowcases are not fully flat - the seams are skewed resulting in an uneven fit. I tried ironing them but they are still uneven. Sadly, by the time I got around to laundering and placing them on the bed my 30-day return window had expired so now I am stuck with a set of $100 sheets that I cannot use. An overall waste of my money.
